The users of our rental software system range from beginner level computer users to IT professionals with years of experience with computers and servers. Regardless of the experience of the user, at least some training on our software is needed to increase the learning curve of the software, increase the reliability of the data entered into the system, and get the users to incorporate the system into their daily work faster. We accomplish the initial training in one of two ways: on-site training and/or web based training.
With on-site training, our trainers are able to interact directly with the users and can gauge their ability to pick up the new software quicker. By being at the location, we are also able to build a relationship with the users that allow us to have better communication for future issues that may arise or easier training on future software enhancements. In person we are also able to speak more directly with upper management to make sure that the software they are purchasing is going to be used properly and the expectations of what the software can and can’t do are reinforced.
Web based training is the more cost effective way of training and can be used to get employees at several different locations trained at the same time which helps insure that they will come away with the same training. We can run online training sessions anytime a customer requests and can work with them on exactly what they want to go over. Typical web based training sessions include: proper entry of quotes and jobs by dispatchers and salesmen, WO and PO tutorials for mechanics and parts guys, and upper level system reporting and data collections for management amongst other classes.
